Motif cakes

Easter Cake

We have a family Easter brunch every year and for me a nice Easter cake is just part of it.

I personally do not like the traditional Easter cake. I prefer a carrot cake with a touch of cinnamon, cardamom and clove powder. For a coarser texture, I also like to mix tree nuts into the dough.

Here I made the meadow with colored cream cheese frosting.

Another option is to sprinkle a Cheese Cake with chopped pistachios and use pre-made marzipan figures.

If you are talented, you can of course make the figures yourself from marzipan or fondant. But if you need to do it more quickly, there is fortunately a large selection at the retailers.

Boulder Cake

Besides baking, bouldering is another passion of mine.

Since I am allowed to offer my pastry in the bouldering hall Dübendorf, I created a bouldering cake.

This is well received by both children and adults and is often requested as a birthday cake as part of the supervised birthday parties in the bouldering hall.

Boulder Cake

This Boulder Cake has additional elements, the black "stones".

In bouldering, these elements may always be used to master the way to the top.

Fantasy

My sister and I are Sailor Moon fans. Therefore, I baked her this birthday cake.

In Sailor Moon there is a Pegasus unicorn, but classic unicorns always go well.

I also made the figures myself. Printed out and cut to size. The use of photo paper or laminating would still beautify the result.

Name Cake

Classic but beautiful.

Sometimes I use acrylic food coloring or glitter dust to make the fondant elements a little more special. But also quite klasissch I like name cakes very much.

Of course, a mirror glaze (Mirror Glaze) could also be very nice.

Winnie the Pooh

Since my niece was just in the Winnie the Pooh phase. So of course she then wished for such a cake.

I bought the figures because I am unfortunately not yet so good with modeling to make everything myself.

Star Wars

This cake was a gift to myself, since I really like Star Wars (my cats are named Luke and Leia).

Heart Cake

Unfortunately, I myself have never given a heart cake to anyone. This one I made for a great couple in my circle of friends.

It was a moist chocolate cake with raspberries.

Paw Patrol

Another wish from my niece. Paw Patrol has long been theme number one.

Logo

I love making stencils and then using them to decorate a cake.

Whether the logo represents the company name, an event, another symbol or simply a pattern is completely free. You only need to design a template for it.

In addition to powdered sugar, I also like to work with liquid food coloring, which is similar in texture to acrylic paint.

Large areas of fondant I try to avoid, because I honestly do not like the taste at all. Small details or, for example, lettering but I also like to supplement with this modeling clay. Peppe them but then also usually a little with the edible acrylic paint.

Spring Cake

Colorful and exhilarating the mind.

Just what spring has to offer us.

Spring Cake

I love spring when everything comes back to life, the flowers bloom and the butterflies fly around.

Nature serves as a beautiful decoration inspiration.
