General

Since I used to snowboarding a lot, but occasionally also skateboarding and surfing, I was of course often in contact with related brands and their designs.

During the development process of my logo, I realized that I was unconsciously inspired by it more than I would have thought.

Since purple and black (I know, I know, no color...) are my favorite colors, it was clear to me that they would have to appear. Then I looked for other matching colors and decided on orange and turquoise.

Lastly, I asked myself what I needed for me personally to live a happy life .

In the process, movement, pleasure and relaxation crystallized.

Whereby the balance of the three things is also essential.

The wave - Movement

I think many people associate movement with the wave symbol.

This was also the simplest symbol for me and came to mind in no time.

For me, movement is not just about sports, even though they are of course very important to me.

Especially regular stretching and fascia training is very good for me. I've also started bouldering again, because it does my back a lot of good, trains every muscle in the body and combines sport and fun.

Unfortunately, walks are currently still limited to about 90 minutes.

However, my big dream is to be able to do the Churfirsten hike and get back on my beloved snowboard.

Besides sports, however, movement to me also means maintaining a good "inner energy flow" and going through life mindfully, moving on with life, being able to adapt to situations and evolve as well as meeting family and friends.

Life is like riding a bike.

To keep your balance, you need to keep moving.

The fireworks - Pleasure

Many pleasurable foods were known to. I enjoy not only making them, but also eating them.

However, the symbol search turned out to be a bit more difficult, since I didn't want to simply take a cupcake or other pastry symbol.

I also don't intend to suggest anything, since pleasure is, after all, very subjective.

So I asked myself what a stimulant ideally triggers in me, and only one thing came to mind:

It feels like fireworks.

It starts in the oral cavity and then spreads throughout the body.

No pleasure is temporary,

because the impression it leaves behind,

is permanent.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Broken lightning - Relaxation

Relaxation was not only the most difficult symbol for me, but also the most difficult activity in my life.

Until my accidents, I was used to always going full throttle in very many areas. But (much more) relaxation would have done me a lot of good even back then.

A psychologist once told me that the only accomplishment I had left was the accomplishment of relaxing.

Relaxing doesn't have to mean doing nothing.

It can also simply mean doing something that you may not see a "higher purpose" in in terms of work or physical fitness.

It should be something that helps you to calm down and escape from stress.

For me this includes crocheting, painting, drawing, sewing and crafting.

Singing and playing the piano are also part of it, but I haven't published anything on this page (yet).

However, I did not want a symbol representing my relaxation techniques.

I also didn't want a classic relaxation symbol like a yoga pose or lotus flower.

Suggestions were again out of place for me, as everyone has or should find their own relaxation methods.

So I was thinking about what a symbol of tension is, and lightning came to mind.

And so I decided to split this one into 3 pieces.

The art of resting is part of the art of working.

John Steinbeck
