Unfortunately, I have often burned myself on the baking tray. 

But when potholders catch my eye visually, I pay more attention to my hands/arms. 

That's why I made my own oven mitts. 

Due to my frequent use of the oven, I have crocheted several pairs by now.  

And since I bake a lot or prepare food with the oven, I also need a new pair of oven mitts every now and then.
